From September 4th (Wed) to 7th (Sat), our company’s Overseas Sales manager, Jungyun Park, participated in the 2024 Regional Specialized Education Northern Program (Sapporo City, Obihiro City, Hokkaido, Japan), organized by the Overseas Agricultural Resources Development Association.

Starting with a visit to the Hokkaido Prefectural Government Agricultural Policy Department, we had the opportunity to thoroughly investigate the agricultural market in the Hokkaido region of Japan by visiting the Agricultural Production Corporation Kirari, Kubota Agricultural Machinery Showroom, Maeda Farm (corn production and popcorn processing), Omaki Farm (soybean and feed corn production), and JA Otofuke Agricultural Cooperative.

140 years ago, during the pioneering period of Hokkaido, European-style agriculture was introduced under the guidance of experts invited from the United States, leading to the establishment of field crop cultivation and livestock farming on vast lands.

Hokkaido accounts for one-fourth of Japan’s total arable land, with an average farm management area of 33.1 hectares (14 times larger than other regions), and a 75.3% ratio of full-time farmers (3.7 times higher than other regions). As a major food supplier for Japan, contributing significantly to the country's agricultural production, this was an invaluable opportunity for our company, as we prepare to exhibit products at "J Agri Tokyo 2024 (Agricultural Expo)" to be held in Chiba Prefecture, this coming October.
